Welcome to the Online Library Catalogue 

Browse the Online Library Catalogue which lists books, videos, CDs, DVDs, talking books, plays, language courses, CD-ROM, music etc that are in stock.   The information about many titles includes:

• a picture of the book jacket
• 'A look inside ' tab with a summary of the book and/or the table of contents from the book
• Links within catalogue records to find
  • items by the same author the same subject or a related subject
  • the same title in different formats eg large print, talking book, video
  • other titles in the same series
  • music by the same composer or performer
  • videos and DVDs by the same director
  • films an actor has directed or starred in plus any books about him or her
• Place hold button- you can reserve items but there may be a charge of 35p per item which will be incurred when you collect it

Other features include:

• Using My ticket, you can
  • keep track of your loans and reservations
  • renew what you have borrowed - however you will need to contact us if they are already overdue
  • change your PIN - go to the Change My PIN option
  • tell us if your address has changed
• Recommended reading  -  titles from bestseller and literary prize lists which are in stock
• Find it Fast and Kids library  -  icon-based searching for popular subjects
• Advanced search  -  sophisticated searching facilities
• What others are reading  - the most popular authors, titles and subjects
• Contact Us  -  send us a message and you will receive a reply - you do not need an email address
• Login for Library members on the front page - so you can access all facilities without having to log in again for each one
• Compile your own booklist  -  use the keep/kept buttons

To use My ticket, renew or reserve books you will need a PIN (Personal Identity Number) which you can obtain by one of the following:

• email Customer Services  but please include your current library ticket number, name, address and date of birth 
• writing to PIN Number, Central Library, Town Hall Square, Grimsby DN311HG and include your current library ticket number, name and address and date of birth
• visiting any North East Lincolnshire library
  NB   They are not available by telephone for security reasons.

Your User ID is the number under the barcode on your new library ticket
Alt ID can be used instead of User ID when you logon.   You can choose this yourself - something which is easy to remember (there is a maximum of 20 characters and it can be letters, numbers or a mixture).  A suggestion is to use just the last few digits from your ticket.  You will need to to tell us the new Alt ID you want  - use any contact method on this page.

This catalogue is operated jointly with Hull City Libraries.  It is not possible for North East Lincolnshire library members to reserve stock in Hull libraries on-line and vice versa as each library authority gives its own members priority for new stock. Library staff can do this on your behalf, though there are some restrictions - use the Contact Us feature in the catalogue or any contact method on this page.
