The Quantity Surveying team provide expert cost advice on building projects, can provide direction on building project procurement and contractual and project management advice at all stages of the construction process. The services provided include feasibility studies; project cost advice; detailed estimates; grant application assistance; cost planning; advice on contract procurement; preparation of tender documentation; tender evaluation; project management; post contract services; work valuations; negotiation & settlement of contractual claims; preparing & agreeing final accounts etc.
We provide financial and contractual support to the Design Section, and direct to their Clients, with our qualified staff carrying out full pre and post contract responsibilities in support of other sections with in the Architectural Consultancy.
Contract Services
The Contract Services section provides a variety of services which include:
- The operation of the Council's Standing List of Approved Contractors, If you would like to be considered for inclusion on the above list please use the expression of interest form and an application pack will be sent to you.
- The appointment & management of external consultants
- Ensure compliance with the Council's Contract Procedure Rules
- Commissioning of in-house and private projects
- Fee accounting
- Client liaison
- Contractor & consultant performance assessment
- Customer satisfaction
- Production of Performance indicators etc.
