Asset Management
The Asset Management Unit sits within the Strategy and Delivery arm of the Economic Regeneration Agency. It is responsible for the development and implementation of the Council's Corporate Asset Management Plan. A copy of the Corporate Asset Management Plan can be obtained by following the link to the right of this page.
The Corporate Asset Management Plan considers the council's strategic position with regard to assets aligned to service provision and the successful delivery of services and corporate objectives. This process includes the analysis of cost in use, condition, suitability, sufficiency, accessibility, Directorate/Unit business plans, the Council's commitment to the Community Strategy, CPA change programme, the redefinition of the Council's priorities and objectives, the outcome of Best Value reviews and external inspection reports. All of these factors impact on the potential future utilisation of the Council's assets, identifying the changes necessary to support Council service providers and their partners to meet the corporate priorities of the Council and Community.
The work of the unit involves ensuring scarce property resources are aligned to meet service delivery needs and is therefore linked indirectly to all of the Council's strategic statements and outcomes in the Corporate Business Plan.
