The Government introduced a new scheme which allowed businesses paying business rates to postpone paying part of their business rates bill for the 2012/2013 financial year until 2013/2014 and 2014/2015. This scheme was introduced to reduce the financial burden on businesses.
The Government has stated that 3.2% of a business rates bill for 2012/2013 could be postponed because of the change in inflation.
Applications must have been in by 31 March 2013.
