It pays to take control of your debts before they become unmanageable and to take action sooner rather than later. If your debts are mounting up, take a look at the money you have coming in and going out. Even if you have reached the stage where you are in debt and facing court action, try to be positive. There may still be solutions. There are plenty of places you can get good, expert and free advice. It pays to get on the phone and take advantage of the help that is available.

Our Debt Recovery Team are here to help, where possible, if you have problems paying bills for Business Rates, or any other debts that you owe us.
We understand the difficulties that you may have in paying your debts and will work closely with other departments, and agencies outside of the council, to help give you support.
