The port of Grimsby and Immingham handles over 54 million tonnes of cargo, and more foreign trade than any other single UK port. Although much of the cargo is bulk, Immingham has the largest RO/RO facility on the UK's Eastern seaboard, handling over 8 million tonnes of cargo each year.
European Routes
The port services countries world-wide including 60 unit load sailings per week with scheduled sevices operating to Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Holland, Germany, Belgium, Iceland and the Baltic, as well as conventional services to places as far a field as South Africa, China and the Great Lakes. Proximity to the North Sea - Grimsby 6 miles, Immingham 12 miles - reduces sailing times and opens up the European market for Just In Time delivery.

Off Shore
Immingham has dedicated offshore berths engineering capability and warehousing facilities to serve the needs of the Southern North Sea supply vessels. This is backed up by scheduled flights to Aberdeen and the dedicated heliport at Humberside International Airport, only 15 minutes drive away.
"ABP is fully committed to North East Lincolnshire and its twin port of Grimsby & Immingham. Trade has developed from less than 10 million tonnes in 1966 to over 51 million tonnes in 2001, placing the port to the forefront of the UK's port industry.
The Port's success has been sustained by substantial investment in new developments in recent years, a commitment to high-quality service and a strategic location on the UK's busiest commercial estuary."
John Copping, ABP Port Director, Grimsby & Immingham
