Pages about the Third sector in North East Lincolnshire

How does the Council work with the Third Sector?
We have been working with the third sector for many years and actively encourage our staff to become volunteers. We know how important the third sector is to us, as both a service delivery partner and as a deliverer of local services in its own right, which is why we have a signed agreement on how we will work together with the third sector which is known as the COMPACT.
A strong third sector is crucial to our area because it can help us to improve your quality of life and to strengthen your community. We want our relationship with the Third Sector to be even stronger so that together we can make things even better for you. To help us do this we have developed a framework that will enable us to improve our partnership by:-
- offering opportunities for all third sector organisations to work with the Council
- enhancing the third sector's role in community engagement and deciding our priorities
- supporting the third sector with more formal contracts and a range of funding and community grants
- improving the way we commission services with the third sector
- improving our support to third sector organisations that are contributing to better outcomes that link most closely to our partnership priorities and objectives for neighbourhoods and communities.
You can download a copy of the Third Sector framework below.
The COMPACT is supported by seven approaches to good-practice called 'codes' which you can read about on the COMPACT webpages.
