Notice of Marriage

£30.00 each person.

Register Office Marriages

For marriages at the Grimsby Register Office - a fee of £43.50, on the day, is payable.

This fee includes the price of your marriage certificate.

You may choose to have a special 'keepsake' of your day also, a commemorative presentaion folder is available with the details of your own personal marriage ceremony included. There is a fee of £2.50 for this. 

Marriages at Approved Venues

For civil marriages at approved venues e.g. hotels the fees vary, depending upon the day of the marriage.

Fees from 1st April 2008

Fees for weekdays - Monday to Thursday - £193.00 

Friday - £278.50

Weekends -

Saturday - £278.50

Sunday and Bank Holidays - £347.00

These fees are set by the Local Authority and are payable to the Superintendent Registrar.

They do not take into account any fee charged by the approved venue.

The fees for approved venues vary throughout England and Wales according to the district in which you wish to marry - if you wish to marry in another district other than in North East Lincolnshire, you should contact the relevant Superintendent Registrar in order to obtain the correct fee for the venue at which you wish to marry.

 

Please note marriage fees are revised on the 1st April each year. The fees for the forthcoming year will be posted as soon as they are available.

Marriages at Non-conformist Churches

Where a marriage is to take place at a Registered Building i.e. Church other than a Church of England, then a Registrar of Marriages may have to attend at the ceremony.
