The Registration Service has been in existence in England and Wales since 1837.  In November 2005, to reflect the changing demands of the service we were renamed the 'Registration and Celebratory Service'. 

At some point in all our lives we will need to make use of this service, be it to register a birth or a death or attend a civil ceremony - be it a marriage, civil partnership, baby naming, renewal of vows or a commitment ceremony.

The team at the Register Office in Grimsby are committed to providing a friendly and efficient service. Please note that if the Registrars are with a client or dealing with another telephone caller when you ring, you will be diverted to the voice mail box. You may leave your name, contact number and a brief message and a Registrar will return your call at the earliest opportunity.
