THESE CONDITIONS SHALL BE COMPLIED WITH AND SHOULD BE READ IN FULL BY ANYONE SEEKING TO HIRE ANY ROOM WITHIN NELC RESOURCE & COMMUNITY CENTRES. |
RULES OF HIRE
- Applications for use must be made on the official form provided.
- Provisional bookings will be held for fourteen days only, if not confirmed within the specified time the booking may be lost.
- No booking will be taken more than six months in advance.
- Bookings will not be allowed if the hirer is more than 60 days in arrears.
- Hirers shall be liable for any damage caused to the room, furniture, fittings, equipment etc, whether accidental or otherwise and shall pay on demand to the Council the costs for any such repairs if necessary.
- All one off activities to be paid in full 7 days before the activity.
- All rooms hired are to be left in a tidy and clean condition.
- All charges are reviewed annually and are effective from 1st April.
- When calculating the hours of a child's party etc, hirers should allow sufficient time for the setting up and laying down of rooms, as charges are made from arrival to departure.
- It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure the activity is adequately supervised at all times.
- It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure the health, safety and welfare of persons accessing the activity at all times.
- No person under the age of 18 years will be accepted as a hirer.
- Any person hiring rooms must comply with all Fire Regulations.
- Any person hiring rooms must not exceed the maximum capacity and the room must only be used for the purpose hired.
- Escape routes must be kept clear at all times.
- The Council reserves the right to refuse admission.
- Organisers of dances and disco's are responsible for liabilities towards the Performing Rights Society and the Phonographic Performing Licence.
- All Commercial hirer's must hold Public Liability Insurance cover, copies of which must be provided on request by the Council.
- All rooms and areas within Resource and Community Centres are non-smoking.
- The Hirer must inform the Centre of any cancellations at least one week before the agreed date, failure to take up the booking will result in a 100% charge being made.
- In extreme circumstances, the Council may have to cancel the booking made by the Hirer, the Council will give as much notice as possible to the hirer and all monies paid returned. However, the Council cannot be held responsible for any other expenditure incurred due to the cancellation and the Hirer or anyone participating in the event will not be entitled to compensation. Any such claims will be the sole responsibility of the hirer.
- North East Lincolnshire Council - Immingham Resource Centre has a Smoke Free Policy. Smoking is not permitted in or on any Council premise or grounds.
