Definition of a Racist Incident

"A racist incident is any incident perceived to be racist by the victim or any other person" (Mcpherson's report, 1999)

How do I use this eform?

This form has been designed for you to report any form of racist incident that you may have directly experienced, witnessed or are reporting on behalf of someone else.
You can report all types of incident, including damage, assault, verbal abuse, racist graffiti and harassment.
Sometimes you may feel that the incident is too minor to bother us. It is, however, still important to tell us what's happened.

By completing this form you will enable us to build up patterns of behaviour, areas of concern and provide us with an overview picture of racist incidents within North East Lincolnshire.
 

Reporting Racist Incidents

Providing us with your details will enable us to investigate the incident. If you agree to this information being passed to the Police it may contribute to the arrest and / or prosecution of the perpetrator(s)
 

Monitoring

The Council has a legal responsibility to monitor racist incidents and promote good community relations. Please help us to achieve these aims by filling in the sections which ask for personal details. You do not have to give this information if you do not wish to.
Please note that we can only take action if the victim gives their contact details and consent to share the information with the relevant Council Services and agencies.
This form and all the information provided will be dealt with in the strictest confidence
