Leading Lights
Leading Lights is North East Lincolnshire Council’s Employee Recognition Scheme. This scheme aims to recognise those individuals and teams who go the extra mile in delivering excellent service.
We want to hear from you about individuals and teams who have impressed you with their level of service and commitment. You can now make nominations for both individuals and teams for in the following six award categories:
- Direct Service Award – for outstanding customer service
- Partnership Award – for outstanding partnership working
- Inclusion Award – for outstanding attention to equality and diversity
- Value for Money Award – for the best use of resources
- Green Award – for reducing our impact on the environment
- Outstanding Achievement Award
Everyone who is nominated will receive a letter in recognition of their nomination. The senior management team will then select a quarterly individual and team winner for each category and these winners will receive an award and a signed certificate.
They will also be invited to an annual awards ceremony where the Employee of the Year and Team of the Year will be announced and presented with a prize.

Nominations can be made by Residents, Partner Organisations, North East Lincolnshire Council employees and Elected Members but you must to be able to demonstrate how and why the nominees have impressed you and deserve this extra recognition. You cannot nominate a friend, partner or family member.
The deadlines for quarterly nominations are:
- 30th June
- 30th September
- 31st December
- 31st March
The annual awards ceremony will take place in May each year.
