Welcome to the 2011-14 Children and Young People’s Plan web pages
Here you will find all there is to know about improving outcomes for children and young people within North East Lincolnshire. Our six overarching outcomes are:
- All children and young people achieve their best at school, are ready for work and have skills for adult life
- All children and young people are involved in developments that affect them
- All children and young people grow up healthy, emotionally secure and confident
- All children and young people grow up living in a safe environment
- Outcomes for looked after children will be at least as good as those of all other children and young people
- Lives and life chances for children with a disability and additional needs will be improved
To see the priority outcomes which sit under these please see our outcomes poster at the bottom of the page.
In putting this Plan together, we have tried to involve everyone working with young people. This includes teachers, police officers, doctors, nurses, social workers and youth workers. Most importantly, we have listened to young people themselves. In drawing together the priorities, we have been particularly concerned with reflecting the needs of our most vulnerable young people:
- Looked after children
- Children with special educational needs
- Children with disabilities
As part of the identification of our priorities we undertook a Needs Assessment which looked at a wide range of information and includes:
- Local data relating to North East Lincolnshire
- Performance information
- Inspection reports
- Children, young people, parents and carers views
- Citizens views
- Voluntary agencies views
- Professionals/practitioners views
The complete Needs Assessment and Performance Plan can be found at the bottom of this page.
