Just starting working with children and young people?

When starting to work with children and young people, you have access to the North East Lincolnshire Council common induction programme. There is a programme for both practitioners and support staff who work in children and family services. This is available to external organisations as well as employees in North East Lincolnshire Council.

What is it?

To promote integrated working between services and to raise standards of practice amongst people working with children and young people, the Children's Workforce Development team are now running a common induction programme on a multi-agency basis. Completing the Children’s Workforce Development Council (CWDC) Common Induction Standards within the first six months of employment is now mandatory for new Children & Family Services Directorate staff.

It involves completion of the seven CWDC common induction standards as well as a series of training sessions on issues essential to effective multi-agency working.
