European Office Brussels
The Brussels office represents the region's 22 local authorities and is funded largely by subscriptions and some sponsorship. The Office has premises in the European Union and business area of Brussels.
What do they do?
- Provide business facilities in Brussels
- Present and promote the region in Europe
- Give the region early information on EU policies and funding
- Create links with other European regions
- Addresses a range of policy areas such as SMEs and business support, internal market, transport, tourism, etc.
- Lobbies to ensure that local interests are considered when new policies and laws are drafted.
