North East Lincolnshire Local Plan (adopted 2003)

The North East Lincolnshire Local Plan represents the first major statutory planning policy document produced by North East Lincolnshire Council. It provides the basis for planning decisions that shape the future of the Borough. Following extensive consultation and rigorous examination the Local Plan was adopted on 24th November 2003.

The Local Plan comprises of a document setting out the policies and the Proposals Map which show the policies in a graphical form on an Ordnance Survey base map which should be read in conjunction with one another.

The introduction of the new Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act in 2004 means that the Local Plan will be replaced by the Local Development Framework, a portfolio of documents that will set out the Development Plan for the Borough. Saved Policies

The Secretary of State wrote to us on 17th September 2007 to tell us which policies we could save. A copy of the Secretary of States Direction letter, including the Schedule of Saved Policies, can be downloaded using the link under the Document Download area of this page.

With effect from 27th September 2007, any Local Plan policies which are not listed in the Schedule of Saved Policies will expire.

To aid the identification of the saved policies an Adobe PDF version of the Local Plan text with the expired policies struck through has been provided below. This can be downloaded using the link under the Document Download area of this page.
