Comprehensive Performance Assessment
This area contains information about Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA). CPA is a judgement about the overall ability of a council, coupled with the performance of their services.
In February 2008 the Audit Commission published the 2007 update giving the Council 2 stars and 'improving well' rating:
In September 2007 the Council submitted a Direction of Travel (DOT) self-assessment which provides an update on the Council's position since the self-assessment prepared as part of the Corporate Assessment in January 2007.

In 2002 CPA scored local authorities on the quality of their services and on their ability to improve, and then classified councils in one of five categories: excellent, good, fair, weak or poor. North East Lincolnshire Council was judged to be 'Poor', which was bitterly disappointing news.
