What is Leading Lights?
Leading Lights is North East Lincolnshire Council’s Employee Recognition Scheme. This scheme aims to recognise those individuals and teams who go the extra mile in delivering excellent service.
The scheme is your opportunity to tell us about individuals or teams who have impressed you with their level of service and commitment.
Award Categories
You can now make nominations for both individuals and teams for in the following six award categories:
- Direct Service Award – for outstanding customer service
- Partnership Award – for outstanding partnership working
- Inclusion Award – for outstanding attention to equality and diversity
- Value for Money Award – for the best use of resources
- Green Award – for reducing our impact on the environment
- Outstanding Achievement Award

Who Can Nominate?
Nominations can be made by Residents, Partner Organisations, North East Lincolnshire Council employees and Elected Members but you must to be able to demonstrate how and why the nominees have impressed you and deserve this extra recognition. You cannot nominate a friend, partner or family member.
Deadlines for Nominations
The quarterly closing date for nominations are
- 31st March
- 30th June
- 30th September
- 31st December
