The Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Environmental Information Regulations 2004 gives everyone a general right of access to the recorded information held by North East Lincolnshire Council.

The Council’s Publication Scheme sets out the classes of information that we routinely publish to assist you in seeking information. Where publications are produced in paper format or hard copy or are only available for inspection the necessary contact details have been provided.
Exemptions we may apply to providing information we hold
There are exemptions under The Freedom of Information Act and exceptions under the Environmental Information Regulations which may mean we are not able to provide all or any of the information you have requested. More information can be found at our Exemptions and Exceptions webpage.
Data Protection Act – Subject Access Requests
You cannot request your own personal information under the Freedom of Information Act, this should be done under the Data Protection Act via a Subject Access Request.
Charging for your request
Our aim is to make as much information available to you for free as possible. Where charges are made this will be in accordance with our Charging Policy.
If a charge is to be made, we will inform you of this prior to supplying the information and provide you with advice on reducing the cost. The charges we make for information will always be justified, transparent and kept to a minimum.
