The Humberside Police youth website is being completely redesigned for North East Lincolnshire in partnership with the Council’s Young People’s Support Service.
Young people have been consulted throughout the process and other similar sites from around the country researched in order to understand more about where young people are looking, what they are looking at and how we can integrate this interactive material with our partnership agenda to safeguard. The new site is designed to be a site that young people want to be a part of now and in the future.
Initially the site will detail the SportsLinc tournaments and activities and include an area that signposts young people to other partner or vetted sites.
Phase two will see games, a social networking facility and more activities for young people added to the site.
It is hoped that anyone working with children and young people will use the site as another route to find out what local activities are available for children and young people.
The new look website will be available from Monday, October 24, but officers will spend the following few weeks populating the site with information. It will be launched to children and young people in mid November.
