Adult Community Learning Service - English and Maths Workshop

IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO BRUSH UP YOUR ENGLISH AND MATHS

It's never too late to improve your writing, spelling, reading and everyday maths. There are lots of local workshops, which offer the chance to improve your skills. These FREE workshops are held all over the North East Lincolnshire area, in the day and the evening.

You can get help with reading, writing, spelling, punctuation, arithmetic and preparing for a test or certificate in English and Maths.

You work at your own pace in small friendly groups with a class tutor and trained volunteers. We will help you to decide what you need to learn and what you want to learn.

You can talk to a tutor or an organiser in private, if you want to, before you enrol for a class.

You can join these classes at any time during the year as long as places are available. There will be a chance to gain City & Guilds qualification in English and Maths in most of these classes.

You choose whether you want to work on your reading, writing, spelling, punctuation or basic maths. Most of the work relates to things you may need to do in everyday life, at home or at work, such as writing letters, filling in forms, and helping the kids with their homework.

ESOL classes
These courses are FREE if you have legally lived in the UK for 3 years or are a European Union or European Economic Area national or a refugee or asylum seeker. You will be asked for proof. If you have NOT lived in the UK, European Union or European Economic Area for 3 years, you must pay a FEE.
