Getting Involved in Archaeology in North East Lincolnshire

Enjoying our historic environment is a significant leisure activity, people visit historic attractions and museums or carry out their own research.

In North East Lincolnshire there are two main ways of becoming involved in archaeology.

North East Lincolnshire Archaeology and Local History Society is open to all. They offer regular monthly lectures from September to June and some activities during the summer. The Secretary can be contacted through: -

David Robinson
99, Trinity Road
Cleethorpes
North East Lincolnshire
DN35 8UN

Their website can be reached by clicking on the link below.

You could also become involved through helping in the historic environment services. We take a selection of work experience students from local schools and colleges each year, and have had placements on schemes organised by Fern training and JHP.

Alternatively you are welcome to volunteer with the service.

For further details please contact.
