Conservation
Conservation Areas are declared by the Local Authority which have a distinctive quality and character. There areas have a strong sense of place and in a rapidly changing world they provide points of reference in terms of stability and continuity. They represent the familiar and often cherished local scene. This may be a collection of historic buildings, a framework of streets or just open spaces. The buildings will often illustrate the local architectures distinctiveness and materials used in their construction.
