About the Development Brief
The Cartergate Development Brief has been prepared to guide the future development of land in Cartergate. The area is seen as an important Gateway between the mainly residential area to the west of Cartergate and the town centre to the east2.
The brief provides the framework for determining future planning applications for sites in Cartergate. It has been prepared alongside work on the Grimsby Town Centre Masterplan.
The brief has been prepared with support from Yorkshire Forward, the Regional Development Agency and Urban Design Consultants, Urban Initiatives as part of the Urban Renaissance Programme.
The Cartergate Development Site
Pre qualification questionnaires for the Cartergate development site can now be found at http://www.cartergate.co.uk/home/ or by contacting Scotts on Tel: 01472 267000 or Donna Riley at: donna.riley@nelincs.gov.uk. The deadline for submission of questionnaires and proposals is 30th November 2007.
Consultation
Consultation was carried on the Draft Cartergate Development Brief between the 25th November 2005 and 16th January 2006.
Adoption
The Cartergate Development Brief was approved for adoption at the Full Council meeting on 28th September 2006. The brief was adopted on 30th November 2006. The adopted document can be viewed using the link below:
