How will the community be consulted?
Public consultation and involvement is a central theme of the LDF. All Local Development Documents are subject to three stages of consultation as required by regulations, prior to independent examination by a planning inspector before final adoption.
Supplementary Planning Documents are subject to one formal consultation stage and are not required to undergo independent examination.
Further details of consultation activities relating to the LDF are set out in the Statement of Community Involvement.
Further information regarding the examination process can be found on the Planning Inspectorate web site.
