Saved and Deleted Development Plan Policies

The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, provided for the saving of policies in adopted or approved local, structure and unitary development plans for a period of 3 years from the commencement date of the Act, this was 28^th September 2004.

Policies in the North East Lincolnshire Local Plan and Humberside Structure Plan were due to expire on the 27^th September 2007 unless the Secretary of State had made provision to extend such policies beyond that date.

The Secretary of State wrote to us on 17^th September 2007 to tell us which policies we could save. The Secretary of States Direction letter can be found at the bottom of this page including the Schedule of Saved Policies.

From 27^th September 2007, any Local Plan policies which are not listed in the Schedule of Saved Policies will expire.
