Application Plans
You can buy your Planning or Building Control Application Site Plans in a number of ways:
- You can use MasterMap plans on-line, direct from the Ordnance Survey by clicking Ordnance Survey MasterMap* (This will open a new window and take you to an external site)
- Or you can Order SitePlans on-line via email through an Ordnance Survey Options outlet by clicking Ordnance Survey Siteplan plots and Siteplan Data* (This will open a new window and take you to an external site)
- Please note that from 30th September 2007 the Ordnance Survey are withdrawing the Map Return Scheme. The Council has not entered into any new scheme with the Ordnance Survey and therefore from 1st October 2007 you will no longer be able to purchase copies of OS Maps from the Council. Please click on the link below for the nearest OS Agent who will be able to supply plans.

Please note that if you are submitting your application online you can purchase your OS maps from the Planning Portal at the same time.
Anyone who wishes to get planning or building regulations approval must submit site location plans at 1:1250 scale for built up areas or 1/2500 scale for rural areas with their application.
If you are submitting a Householder Planning Application you are required to submit 5 copies for other types of applications the number required is 6 copies or 7 copies if the application is for new houses in multiple occupation or flats.
If you are submitting a Building Regulations Application you are required to submit 2 copies. If you are submitting both Planning and Building Regulations Applications together, you are required to submit the correct number of copies required.
Remember that if you wish to retain a copy of the application site plan you will need to buy an extra copy.
Please be aware that Ordnance Survey plans are covered by Crown Copyright. This means that you must use the plans for the purpose stated and that you do not make extra copies. If you are found to be in breach of Crown Copyright you are liable to prosecution
