No Time To Waste - Recycling
One day not so very long ago, Ian Graham, Recycling Officer for North East Lincolnshire, took his Time Machine made out of recycled materials into a school. He was going to use his Time Machine to collect items from the past to show children just how important recycling has been in the lives of people through the ages.
While he was talking to the children one curious and very naughty boy from the class, called Horace, wanted to get a closer look at the machine. While Ian wasn't looking, Horace went up to the Time Machine and started playing with the controls, pushing buttons and waggling levers. He was so violent that one of the levers broke off in his hand. Oh no!
Because he was talking to the rest of the class, Ian didn't notice that the Time Machine was now faulty. He walked over and switched on the Time Machine, and it flashed into life. The classroom started spinning as the time machine was flashing, crashing, whizzing and walloping! |
| No Time To Waste tells the story of what happens to Ian and the class of children as the faulty time machine takes them to various periods of history. They meet a variety of characters who tell them all about waste management through the ages, as well as a few dinosaurs! |
