Trading Standards
The Trading Standards Service enforces consumer legislation by advising consumers and businesses, inspecting trade premises and investigating complaints.
The laws enforced include - Food Standards, Product Safety, Fair Trading, Weights and Measures, Animal Health, Agricultural Standards and Licensing (explosives, poisons and petroleum; more details can be found on the Trading Standards' licensing page).
