If you feel that you do not wish for any support from Children and Family Services you can refuse for another professional to contact us. You can also refuse to allow an assessment of your situation to be undertaken.
Can Children and Family Services make enquiries or carry out an assessment without my consent?
In some situations, for example, if we are very concerned about the information we receive, we can decide to carry out an assessment and contact other agencies without your consent.
We would prefer not to do this and would only take this action once every effort had been made to gain your consent.
In this instance we would inform you in writing of this decision and the reason for this decision.
