Due to a disability or illness, you, or someone living with you, may have difficulties with access in and around your home, for example climbing stairs or getting in and out of the bath.
The Home Improvement Agency is available to provide a sensitive and confidential service to help with adaptations to your home. The service is available to any resident of North East Lincolnshire and includes;
-
obtaining a full medical assessment of needs from an Occupational Therapist;
-
advice on how to overcome the difficulties highlighted by the Occupational Therapist assessment.

considering your views before making any proposals, keeping you fully involved with the progress of the scheme.

helping you complete all necessary forms, ensuring that you are receiving all your benefit and grant entitlements;

provide a drawing and schedule of the recommended work;

accessing funding, this could be local authority grant, charity funds, loan, mortgage or from your own savings;
-
obtaining quotations from reliable approved builders and supervising the work;

an 8% fee is charged for this service, although, if you qualify for a grant the fee can be included in the overall costs.

ensuring qualifying clients are referred on to benefit from an energy efficiency grant. This can include repairs to, or new central heating systems and loft or cavity insulation.
