Sea Lavender

Limonium vulgare

An easy to identify plant growing only on the salt marsh with small pinkish lilac flowers. The scientific name from the Greek Limonium, meaning "marsh" and vulgare meaning "common". A perennial plant around the coast of England and Wales, flowering July to September.
