Cleethorpes Baptist Church, Cleethorpes

Alexandra Road, Cleethorpes.

The original church was built in 1910. During the First World War it was requisitioned by the Army and was occupied by troops of the Manchester Regiment. On the night of 1st April 1916 a Zeppelin Maiden dropped a bomb on the church, seriously damaging it. This resulted in the building of a new church in 1927. Unusually the church has no pews, as the seating originally came from a cinema!

Open: Thursday 3.00pm - 4.00pm
