Grimsby Heritage - Victoria Street Printers
'there's more than just a port'
This magnificently shaped building was built of red bricks, with limestone ashlar detail. It has a roof made from Welsh slate and the front is designed in a Tudor Revival-style. In 1860 Albert Gait arrived in Grimsby and set up the printing works in the building and these still exist today. Over the many years that have passed, the descendants of Albert Gait have followed in his footsteps. Spanning five generations, the company is still thriving under the current managing director Michael Gait.
