The United Reformed Church, Grimsby

36 Weelsby Road, Grimsby. On the main throughfare Weelsby Road, from Nuns Corner towards Cleethorpes, on the left between Welholme Avenue and Park Avenue.

The congregation  worships in a fine and almost unique example of a 1930's building of brick in lovely hues and roofed in Westmorland slate.  Built originally for the Presbyterians, it became the home for the United Reformed Church when they were joined by the Congregationalists from what is now the Welholme Galleries.  The church is a well-used centre of its community for worship and a variety of other activities.  The well-designed ancillary rooms with many of their original features encourage this use. Open: Thursday 10.45am, and by Arrangement.
