Grimsby Readers' Group

 When does the group meet?

The group usually meet on the third Tuesday of every month at 6.00pm in Grimsby Central Library

Who goes to the Reading Group?

There are about half a dozen members, of different ages and walks of life, but people come and go.

New members are always welcome.

What do they do?

The group choose a book or topic that they all want to read for a future meeting and the library provides multiple copies. Discussion about the book is not highbrow, but about sharing personal responses to the book - favourite bits, how it made you feel, what you thought of the characters or even why you didn't like the book. It doesn't matter if you don't read the book. Listening to other people talk about it may inspire you to read it too. Usually people chat about the other books they have been reading and pass on recommendations. The range of books is broad, varying from award winners to bestsellers.
