Please complete the greenstat questionnaire by clicking on the link above and let us know what you think of your parks.

This park was developed to cater for the people in what was then the new housing estate. Work on the park began in 1877 but it was not opened until 19 September, 1894. The Mayor of Grimsby at the time, George Doughty, performed the opening ceremony accompanied by his wife and family.

Set on the banks of the river Freshney, Duke of York Gardens is located on Corporation Road and offers bowling, football, a multi-use area and playground.

The council has recently been awarded funding of £137,000 from WREN through the WRG communities challenge programme to install a new play area  and teen shelter on the Duke of York Gardens. Installation work is scheduled to commence June 08 and work should be completed by August.

The play area is for you. Your comments are important to us, please come along to the event and let us have your views on the state-of-the-art play ground equipment available. For further information please contact Sue Pearson on 01472 325812.
