Active Clubs Association
What is the Active Clubs Association?
The Active Clubs Association is a new club accreditation scheme developed by North East Lincolnshire Council Sports Development Unit. It aims to set standards for local clubs to meet which will in turn lead to better quality sports provision for all in the community. The Active Clubs Association has been introduced to:
- Promote and encourage good practice in sports clubs
- Aid parents in choosing a club fro their children
- Improve the quality or organisation and resources at local clubs
- Ensure that clubs offer safe and organised access to sport
- Acknowledge that child protection, sports equity and club management guidelines are met.
Why have the Active Clubs Association accreditation scheme?
There is an increasing concern and responsibility regarding the safeguarding and welfare of young people in sport. With this in mind various accreditation schemes have been set up by NGB organisations.
North East Lincolnshire Council are therefore now offering an accreditation scheme aiming to improve the safe provision of quality services within local clubs, whatever the sport or standard of performance.
What if you already have NGB Club Accreditation?

All you will need to do is contact us and tell us the details and we will match you up with the corresponding level so that you can enjoy the benefits of being an accredited club with North East Lincolnshire Council's Active Clubs Association.
