Coaching

Sports coaches are crucial to the development of sport.

They work with groups or individuals to improve their skills and abilities in a given sport or task.

There are a wide range of coaches in North East Lincolnshire both paid and voluntary and the Sports Development Unit is committed to helping them develop.

For all queries with regards to coach development please contact sports.development@nelincs.gov.uk

Services to Sport (S2S)

S2S is a social enterprise under a limited company by guarantee with charitable aims registered in June 2007.

Services to Sport are supported by a voluntary management committee currently made up of;

• The Humber Sports Partnership (HSP)
• Sports Coach UK (SCUK)
• NGB representation
• Hull Schools Sports Partnership
• East Riding of Yorkshire Council
• North East Lincolnshire Council

All surpluses created by the Enterprise will be used to directly benefit coaching including establishing a bursary that will encourage young people aged 16 plus to remain in sport through accessing coaching skills and training and through providing discounted course fees to encourage coaches from disadvantaged backgrounds/areas to access the training and skills needed to become sports coaches.

It will also work with the local authorities and County Sports Partnerships to address the sustainability of existing Community Sports Coach posts within the region.

S2S are currently looking to recruit sports coaches living in the Humber area. If you think you have the skills or want to know how to gain these skills contact S2S on 01472 267404.
