Recruitment of voluneteer coach for Junior Hockey
North East Lincolnshire Council's Sports Development team are looking to recruit a new coach for a new junior hockey club in the local area.
At present it has come to our attention that there is no club available for Hockey for juniors. We feel that this opportunity should be available, not only for the girls but for the boys as well. However we do need your help!
We are looking for an enthusiastic and determined character with the ability to correspond with children to volunteer and help establish a club. Although this post is voluntary there are benefits for you, you will have the chance to gain recognised sporting qualifications such as coaching awards, You will have interactive time with enthusiastic children. If you are a parent who has children interested in playing hockey and developing their skills, an existing volunteer or you just have an interest in helping out, this is a great opportunity to get involved and make a difference.
Initially the club will concentrate on training sessions, things such as drills, skills and awareness of the game. This will then develop into a more competitive state, i.e. league games and fixtures.
The sessions will be held at Hereford Technology School and the equipment needed for the sessions will all be provided by the North East Lincolnshire Sports Development Department.
For further information or to request an information leaflet that contains a checklist for clubs to see what level they are at please contact Fay Spencer, Trainee Sports Development Officer, on 01472 323389 or fay.spencer@nelincs.gov.uk
