Grants for Large Community Projects
Community Investment Fund
Funding: For small grants up to £5,000, Sport England refers applicants to Awards for All (see Awards for All). Grants over £5,000 are made through Sport England's nine regional sports boards.

Aim: To get more people, more often, into sport and physical activity.
Who can apply?
To apply your project must adhere to the following basic criteria:
1. The project must require more than £5000.
2. Your organisation must be a non-profit making organisation.
3. There must be a recognised sport involved.
4. The project must benefit the community and ideally be open to the community.
5. Funds are not available for football only based projects.

To see if you are eligible for the fund you need to complete an Online Enquiry Form (www.sportengland.org) which is the first stage of the application.
Hard copies of the forms are not available but Sport England are happy to complete the form on your behalf. Contact Sport England on 08458 508 508 and a member of the team will be happy to do this for you.
Deadline: An online application form is completed then you will need to submit some supporting information, which will be processed into an Applicants Statement within 15 working days. The next stage will be for you to send the Applicants Statement to your regional Sport England office where it will be assessed over a period of 12 weeks.

Foundation for Sport and the Arts
Funding: Provides discretionary grant aid assistance for the support of athletic games, athletic sports, recreation games/sports and the arts. The maximum amount available is £75,000
Funder:
The Foundation for Sport and the Arts (F.S.A) is an independent trust, grant assistance is privately funded from the football pools (Littlewoods & Vernons).
Aim:
The objective of the scheme is to benefit the public at large in the UK and to assist the participation of an increasing number of people in Sport and Arts, whether actively taking part in or passively observing and enjoying.
