10.00am Grimsby Town Hall The Town hall is "a magnificent Victorian building, built in 1863, at a cost of just over £6,000. It is now insured for many millions. Originally an administrative centre housing both the local police and fire brigade it was "built by decision makers for decision makers".
11.30am Time Trap This unique attraction deep in the prison cells of Grimsby Town Hall, takes you on a time-travel journey to uncover the past. Through dark mysterious corridors, ingenious nooks and crannies, up and down around winding stairs, you will discover the town's treasures as you piece together the jigsaw to reveal how Grimsby became the world's largest fishing port.
1.00pm Lunch Buffet lunch to be served at the Grimsby Town Hall.
2.30pm Fishing Heritage Centre At the Fishing Heritage Centre Grimsby's 1950's heyday it's heritage are captured in the sights, sounds and drama of this award-wining attraction. Heaving decks, icy winds, lashing rains and smells of the sea combine with authentic sets and displays as you plot your course around the Icelandic fishing waters. Recreations of fishermen's homes, the pub and dockside businesses reveal the colourful ups and downs of life on shore.
4.00pm Then its off to the trawler Ross Tiger, moored next to the National Fishing Heritage Centre. Guided by former fishermen, you will hear their tales of life on board a deep-sea trawler fishing the icy waters of the North Sea for weeks at a time. The tour leaves you in doubt as to the dangers and hardships they faced, and as you reach the engine room, the real noise of the boat's engines will make you glad to get back on dry land!
