Group Walks/Itineraries

10.00am Cleethorpes Humber Estuary Discovery Centre
Delve into Cleethorpes Estuary wildlife and learn more about the Lincolnshire coast and discover the ancient, submerged forest that can be found buried along Cleethorpes beach.
Become a fully-fledged nature detective, exploring the present day boating lake, sand dune and estuary environment in our new exhibition. Find out more about the flocks of wildfowl living around the lake and discover the predators lurking beneath the water. Why not have a go at beachcombing? Discover shells, seaweed and the famous Cleethorpes Saltmarsh with fascinating facts and hands-on displays.

11.30am Guided Tour of the Estuary taking in the Meridian Line
Take a stroll along the coastal path and view the signpost of the Meridian Line. Sited at 0° longitude, Cleethorpes passed into the 3rd Millennium at precisely the same moment as all other locations, including Greenwich, along the Prime Meridian.

12.15pm Boaters Tea Room
Enjoy lunch and some traditional home-made cooking and relax alongside the Cleethorpes Boating Lake.

1.30pm Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway
Take a ride on the East Coasts last remaining narrow gauge railway operating along Cleethorpes foreshore and lakeside. Trains can be caught at either Kingsway or Lakeside Station. Visit the Station Masters gift shop and pick up a souvenir of your visit to Cleethorpes.

2.30pm The Jungle
Take a trek in The Jungle and experience the sights, sounds and smells of a tropical paradise! Amongst an array of unusual exotic plants, The Jungle is home to a variety of parrots, toucans, monkeys, giant snakes, iguanas and a family of meerkats.

3.30pm Enjoy a light refreshment at one of the neighbouring pubs.

4.00pm Take a stroll along the Cleethorpes Promenade or a trip on the Road Train to bring your day to an end.

5.00pm THE END.
