Starting school is a huge event in a child's life, but if handled well, can be the beginning of a very happy future in school. These links will help children, and their parents and guardians, to prepare for going to school.
Schools in the Area

Pre-School and Day Care
The Council website has an excellent section with lots of information about pre-school and day care, from age 0-14, at / education/educationstandards/
Family Information Service
The Family Information Services offers local residents information about childcare facilities, local children's services and careers in early years education, childcare and playwork. More information can be found at http://www.familyinformationservice.info/ and /education/preschool/.
Children's Centres
Children's Centres are being developed across North East Lincolnshire. They will provide a community based resource for families. There are 6 Children's Centres and by 2008 there will be 12 at locations across North East Lincolnshire. It is proposed that by 2010 there will be Children's Centres servicing every community.
