Jane Lewington, Chief Executive, will be leaving the Care Trust Plus on December 1, 2010 to take up a new post of Director of Service Development and Strategy / Deputy Chief Executive with United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
Jane became the inaugural Chief Executive of the Care Trust Plus in September 2007 and before that led the predecessor of the CTP, North East Lincolnshire Primary Care Trust for seven years.
Jane played a leading role in the development of the CTP, the first organisation of its kind in England, working alongside senior leaders in North East Lincolnshire Council. The CTP is responsible for the commissioning and delivery of health and adult social care services. Other aspects of the partnership arrangements in North East Lincolnshire cover health improvement and children’s services.
As a member of the Local Strategic Partnership for North East Lincolnshire Jane has worked to ensure that the CTP has played a full and active role in tackling the key strategic priorities for the North East Lincolnshire community.

Jane’s superb leadership has steered us along our journey from PCT to CTP, against all the odds, to create this unique organisation in partnership with the Local Authority.
“Jane has made a tremendous contribution to health and social care in North East Lincolnshire. We all pass on our many congratulations to Jane on her new appointment but I know I speak on behalf of all her colleagues when I say how much she will be missed.”
The CTP will now be taking steps to shape interim arrangements (including executive lead arrangements), under Jane’s leadership and beyond, as the CTP moves toward a GP commissioning consortia in accordance with the Government’s White Paper ‘Liberating the NHS’.
