GreenSTAT survey of parks and open spaces

People's Park, Grimsby.

Complete a survey about local parks and open spaces to be in with the chance to win Freshney Place shopping vouchers.

Residents of North East Lincolnshire are being given three chances to win one of 20 Freshney Place vouchers worth £25 each by completing a questionnaire and giving their opinions about local parks and green spaces.
GreenSTAT is an online database that gives people the opportunity to comment on the quality of their local parks and open spaces and how well they feel they are being managed and maintained.
It also provides the council with feedback about the people that visit them, and how they might be able to improve these vital open spaces.
Councillor Leanor Pidgen, portfolio holder for environment and the green agenda, said: “Parks and open spaces offer a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of today’s built up environment and modern, busy lifestyles.
“By filling in this questionnaire, people can let the council know what they do and don’t like about our local parks. We will act on this, wherever we can, to improve what they offer and ensure that as many people as possible are using these valuable community resources.”
She added: “Even if people have responded to these surveys in previous years, it is important that they fill it in again this year as we still want to hear their views and impressions of the parks.”
To complete the survey and be in with a chance to win one of the vouchers, visit https://secureserver.greenstat.org.uk/selectvisitortype.asp?authorityid=108 to complete the survey.
Internet access is available at your local library and paper copies of the survey will be made available at North East Lincolnshire Council customer access points.
The winners of the shopping vouchers will be chosen at random on Friday, July 16 and again mid August and Mid September. There will be 20 vouchers worth £25 up for grabs each time a prize draw takes place.
