Lincs2 local area prospectus

Lincs2 local area prospectus is an online guide to all the learning opportunities available in North East Lincolnshire. It has the most comprehensive and up-to-date information available from academies, schools, colleges and other training providers. And learners can use one easy to use online application form to apply for any of the courses.

The Lincs2 local area prospectus can be found at www.lincs2.co.uk. It is free to use by anyone looking to compare courses and training opportunities locally. The site also includes information about careers choices, financial information, guides to qualification types, news and events.

Lincs2 is often used by pupils in school from year 9 to research the career opportunities that are available to them in the future and during this term, in year 11, pupils can use the online application form to apply for their further education. Pupils are given their own personal username and password to access the online planning and application functions and the application can be completed over a period of time, either in school, at home or anywhere there is internet access.

Students have said that the site is easy to use, informative, helpful and a simple way to apply for courses.

For parents who would like to know more about Lincs2 ‘A Parent’s / Carer's Guide to Lincs2’ is available. To request a copy please phone 01472 325203.

David Kent, 14-19 strategy leader said, "Our starting point was to help all 14-19-year-olds to find the right learning opportunities and the right support. Lincs2 provides impartial information about learning opportunities including apprenticeships, international baccalaureate, foundation learning, GCSEs, A/AS levels and vocational courses.

"The local area prospectus empowers young people, their parents/guardians and in fact anyone to find the right courses, so they can make the most of the opportunities available to them and make informed career choices."
