THE 6.05am Humber Flyer bus journey between Grimsby and Barton will continue to operate, following successful negotiations between the council and Stagecoach bus company.
Plans to cut back the service had been put on hold in April, following a short-term subsidy from the council.
Leader of the council, Chris Shaw, said: "The reprieve ensured that people could continue to access health appointments, work, training and education. It also enabled a robust three month review period and the council has used this time to work with Stagecoach to investigate viable options for the longer term as part our strategic bus review."
Jason Longhurst, assistant executive direct planning transportation and housing, said: "This positive action marks the drive to ensure value for money and a proactive collaborative approach with our partners.
The 6.05am service will continue to operate to Barton, where passengers to Hull will change onto the Humber Fastcat service.
