Healthy eating course

Families from Cleethorpes can get advice on staying fit this month when a new 'healthy eating' course starts at Highgate Children's Centre.

The course will cover the nutritional value of food by breaking down and explaining which types of food make up a healthy plate. It will give attendees the chance to explore the five food groups in depth and then recommended healthy recipes for them to try.

Families and parents with children under the age of five are welcome to attend the course. A crèche has been provided, but there will be a small charge of £1.

To book on to the course, ring Highgate Children's Centre on: (01472) 324323.

There are children's centres in most communities offering a wide variety of courses; from maths and English to cooking and beauty. For more information about your local centre contact the Family Information Service on: 0800 18 303 17.
