Waste and recycling operations over the bank holiday weekend

Waste will be collected over the Diamond Jubilee weekend

WASTE and recycling collections will take place as normal in North East Lincolnshire over the Diamond Jubilee bank holidays.

Crews will be working normal hours over the weekend as well as Monday, June 4 and Tuesday, June 5.

Due to a number of road closures for street parties, crews will be unable to collect containers from these streets. However, additional crews will be operating from Wednesday, June 6 to Friday, June 8 to collect any back-log. Householders in these streets are asked to leave their containers out from 7am over these days until they are collected.

Residents who have organised a party for their street have been offered extra recycling containers for any additional materials like glass or tins that will need to be recycled.

Residents are also reminded that both the borough’s tips, or community recycling centres, will be open from 8am to 6pm all week.

For further information about waste and recycling visit www.nelincs.gov.uk/recycle or call the waste hotline on (01472) 325841. Calls to the waste hotline will be answered Monday to Friday from 8am to 5.30pm, excluding bank holidays.
